Despite the fact that I’m a fitness instructor, and total fitness junkie (not to mention someone who is all up in the online fitness world), I never really got into the whole video workout craze.
I remember owning a couple of Daisy Fuentes workout videos, mainly because I wanted to be her when I was a teenager but could never fully invest the time or effort into them that I would in a fitness class, at the gym or during my various sports and activities. But you gotta love her for the epic basketball montages before the workout would start and the old saying, “if you’re watching this tape, you wanna get in shape!”
Does anyone remember this??!?!
Of course when you say workout video today, its all about online video. And yes, I’ve tried a few streaming services here and there – and even a few yoga podcasts while traveling. And while I find them to be helpful to get the blood flowing, I’ve never found exactly what I was looking for.
And then I met Grokker. And everything changed.
Grokker is a service that offers a collection of yoga, fitness and cooking videos. What I love about Grokker is that all of the videos are created and curated by Grokker’s team of experts so they are super high-quality and organized really well. Plus, you can make your own collections so you can organize and store your favorite videos by workout type. You can check out my Grokker workout video collection here.
I have personally tried a few of the HIIT cardio workouts, yoga inversion and arm balance workouts and ab workouts on Grokker and am excited to try more – especially those curated by my Sweat Pink family (check out the Sweat Pink collection on Grokker!). I have yet to try the cooking classes on Grokker but they look AMAZING. I’m even considering assigning a few videos to my husband when its his week to cook. 😉
What am I loving is that I’ve not only found a great way to squeeze in a sweat or yoga session whenever and wherever I want it, it also inspires me for my own classes. I’ve been using a lot of the videos to help add to my own workouts and yoga sequences and have even discovered new ways to think about and teach inversions and arm balances. I’m loving Grokker for the access to great workouts and inspiration from amazing instructors!
So whether you’re a fitness instructor, fitness junkie or just fitness curious, give Grokker a try! You can use the code: LOVEGROKKER for one month FREE premium membership (you’re welcome!). Go ahead – get sweaty and inspired!
Fit pros: have any of you tried online video workouts to get inspiration for your own classes? And if so, what did you think?
Stay sweaty friends!
XOXO,
Jamie
