Life is a series of little actions, choices and challenges; some parts are unpredictable, while other parts are determined by the very decisions we make and actions we take. Which is why I love today’s #FeelAmazingEveryday challenge with Amazing Grass and Fit Approach; it encourages us to share the little things, the micro actions, the small changes that we can make / have made to make life a little more amazing every day.
Personally, one of the smallest (and best!) changes I ever made (about 7 years ago now) was to eat breakfast every day. To say goodbye to the days of rushing out the door with my tummy grumbling, half asleep and low on energy. To say goodbye to the days where breakfast often came in the form of a snack somewhere between mid morning and afternoon. A snack that often started in good intentions but ended in unhealthy eating habits because I was too hungry to resist sugar, junk food, or whatever else was easily accessible. For me, eating breakfast every morning meant finding something easy, transportable, healthy and most of all enjoyable that I could eat every day and not get tired of. And for me, that thing became protein packed smoothies (made with Amazing Grass, of course!). A now almost obsession. A part of my routine.
And what’s more – this little change – my daily smoothie habit has truly helped me make so many other positive changes in my life. It helped me find more energy in the morning and paved the way for early morning workouts (meaning I stopped skipping workouts for social engagements – er, uh, happy hours…) and it got me to start getting out of bed a little bit early, leaving more time in the mornings to find my way out the door without all the rush (AKA stress!). And with more time in the morning, a smoothie in my hand, a workout under my belt, it led to a happier, healthier me.
So today, I’m asking YOU – what little changes have you made that make you #feelamazingeveryday?
Stay sweaty friends!
XOXO
