It has been an exceptionally cold couple of weeks (for Portland, anyhow). And when its this cold and dry out, running gets especially hard…and not just on my lungs or legs…or even my fingers…but also my skin!
In honor of this cold winter running, my Five Things Friday are all about the things that make winter running a little brighter and keep me looking fresh! All the things that I’m super COCONUTS for, obviously.
I love the new Frank Body Coconut Balm – it’s like summer skin in a bottle. I’ve been using the Frank Body coffee scrub after tough workouts to slough away dry, rough skin and following up with the coconut balm for super soft, glowing skin.
Dang Foods Coconut Chips:
I’m always searching for healthy snacks that I can take with me from activity to activity. And I’m pretty obsessed with Dang Foods coconut chips. They’re just so…..dang good!
La Croix Sparkling water: If you’re craving coconut (which apparently I am), La Croix’s sparkling water with coconut flavoring is a great way to get your fix. It’s hydrating, bubbly goodness!
Hot water stays hot for longer and cold water stays cold. I love (and use) my Hydro Flask so often that I now have my coffee only Hydro Flask (in mint green) and my water only flask in hot pink.
Seriously, they’re that amazing.
Nike Zoom Flyknit Streak:
Runners wore the Nike Zoom Flyknit Streak shoes in the Rio Olympics. So naturally, they’ve made me that much faster. They not only come in great colors, they’re also a great shoe. They’re the perfect shoe for when you feel like being all kinds of speedy and just want to let your legs…and feet fly!
