Had an awesome weekend full of all the things I love most: good friends, yoga, running, and PIZZA!
My weekend started off right with an amazing Friday night Acro Yoga class at Sweat Republic. We learned how to fly, worked on a lot of core and stability exercises and generally just had a blast.
Saturday I was up early to meet Travis, CJ and Kellen for the rainiest, windiest 15 mile run EVER. Seriously, it was cray. We met at the monkey bars at 7 and headed across the Golden Gate Bridge. Once we were on the bridge, we could really feel the wind, it was almost lifting us up and giving us a push (craziest tailwind EVER). The climb up Hawk Hill was actually the most pleasant part – while we climbed we seemed to be a little bit shielded from the wind and rain which was a nice break – plus it was awesome to see anyone in front of you almost disappearing into the cloud. After turning around at the top, I started to dread the return over the bridge. I knew that tailwind we felt on the way over was going to be a tough headwind on our way back. And it was. Only it was kind of fun. CJ and I chatted over the loud roar of the cars, wind and rain and once we were at the end of the bridge, it was a good feeling – like yeah, we’re pretty badass.
After the run, I met up with my friend Yelena and my furry boyfriend (AKA her dog Hunter). We ended up going on a 5 mile walk, grabbing a mani/pedi and then got ready for our Saturday night pizza party. We made a bunch (TOO MUCH!) pizza, homemade peanut butter cookie dough ice cream, and another friend brought over an apple tart (Thanks Diana!). It was like our own little impromptu Friendsgiving.
Sunday morning was clean-up, catching up on work, enjoying leftover pizza (of course), yoga and then HUNGER GAMES. OMG! OMG! OMG! YAY!
