A slightly different kind of #WCW: my ThirdLove addiction

Just over a year ago, while we were about a glass and a half of wine deep, Alyse and I made a pact that we wouldn’t let one another leave the house looking homeless. We shook on it, pinkie sweared, and gave each other the strange cousin nod that said, you better not let me down…

We promised to keep each other accountable with our wardrobe choices and be open to feedback. Like the time Alyse pointed out that perhaps the shoes were starting to look more like slippers and less like shoes or that our pants were on a slippery slope to sweats. We’d nod, course correct and make a better choice the next day. And I was starting to put in more effort and had even folded my oversized pants in the bottom of the drawer, only to be taken out and worn for camping trips or TV and wine parties of one.

And then, we both moved…

Without my trusty sidekick there to give me a knowing glance when the slippers made an appearance or to inspire me to step up my game with a cute Monday morning ensemble (seriously, how does anyone get dressed on Mondays?), I started to slip again.

It went from dressing in cute summer clothes (because hey, we have real summers here in Portland) to kicking it in cute workout ready gear (which is A-OK in my book) to staying in the same, sweaty, tired excuse for gym clothes all day long. I even got to the point where it had been so long since I had touched a hair dryer that I almost forgot how to dry my hair, much less apply mascara.

Enter my saving grace: ThirdLove, the bra fitting app and perfectly sized, most comfortable bras EVER. Like EVER. For this very reason, ThirdLove is the subject of my affection today, my Woman Crush Wednesday, if you will. When my first ThirdLove package arrived, I was sitting at my computer with my hair in a messy, sweaty bun, and still wearing my 6 am gym clothes. Opening the package, I immediately fell in love with the look of my new bras and panties and wanted to get out of my sweaty ensemble and into something that would make me look and feel fabulous. I promptly washed my new lingerie (and washed myself) and waited anxiously to put it on.
