Now that I’ve been living in Portland for a few months, there are a few things that I am desperately missing about San Francisco; and its probably not surprising to any of you that most of them have to do with food or fitness (of course, I also miss my friends but that goes without saying).
This morning I woke up from yet another dream about a delicious Mint Mojito coffee drink in my hand and decided it was time to make my own mint inspired coffee drink….only in true Jamie fashion…as a smoothie. And since I wasn’t going to be enjoying my mint coffee drink on the rocks in true Philz style, I decided it needed a little crunch to really round it out. Cold brew. Fresh mint. Almond Milk. Cacao nibs. And Hemp Heart Bites. What could be better?
Here’s the recipe (modify as needed – any milk will work, for instance):
- 1/2 cup cold brew
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1 banana
- 1 heaping handful of fresh mint (to taste)
- 1 small scoop of cacao nibs (about 2 tbsp)

And blend…simple and delicious!
