Today’s #LJInspired prompt seems simple enough – what’s your favorite workout accessory? I started to think about my workouts and the one thing they all had in common, that thing that would make or break the workout…and I started to list the most common things:
For running, hiking, bootcamp & weight lifting:
- My hair ties from #sweatpink sis’ Suzy
- My Suunto Ambit 2 watch
- A good sports bra
- My Nathan Quick Draw Plus handbottle
- SOS Rehydrate in citrus
- SPIleash for Abbie dog
- My Sweat Pink trucker hat
For SUP Yoga, swimming, wakeboarding, etc:
And as the list went on and on, I realized I hadn’t yet pin pointed my must-have, go to workout accessory. And then it hit me, it wasn’t a thing, an item, a product or even a service…those weren’t the things that kept me going, woke me up before 5 am, gave me the power and confidence to sprint up a hill…my most treasured workout accessory is truly my positive attitude.
Whether its yoga, bootcamp, running, weight lifting, snowboarding, hiking or SUP’ing – a positive attitude always wins. It’s what helps me keep going when things get tough. Its what gets me to the top of the hill or allows me to fall down and get back up again. It’s the only thing that I truly NEED to make each workout count.
Besides, it also makes me look awesome. There’s no better accessory than a smile.
