Holy moly, it’s Thanksgiving week. The holidays are no longer around the corner, they are officially HERE which is why I’m thrilled I had the opportunity to participate in Puritan’s Pride Superfood Smoothie challenge. Smoothies help me stay balanced and on track during the holiday – I start my day off with a smoothie and always feel like it helps me make better choices the rest of my day.
My favorite Superfood Smoothie recipes – for cleansing, refreshing and soothing the body – will help you stay on track and feel balanced throughout the holiday season.
This one is my favorite on a morning when I feel like I might have overindulged the night before (too much dessert, wine, you name it, ths smoothie helps flush it all out!):
- One scoop of Puritan’s Pride All Natural Vegan Protein Chocolate with Quinoa and Oats
- One banana
- One cup almond milk
- 1 tsp Puritan’s Pride Psyllium Husk Seed (to aid in digestion!)
- 1 tsp chia seeds
- *optional: 1 tsp agave (if desired for more sweetness)
- Approx 5 ice cubes
Blend and enjoying the cleansing effects!
I absolutely LOVE this next smoothie when I need a refresh (a good one to drink on New Year’s Eve day; you’ll feel like you’re glowing the whole night long!):
- One scoop of Puritan’s Pride All Natural Vegan Protein Chocolate with Quinoa and Oats
- One half cup coconut water
- One half cup coconut milk
- 1 fresh mint leaf
- 1 tsp Puritan’s Pride Alacer Emergen C Immune + With Vitamin D Blueberry-Acai (loaded with vitamin C – to help your immune system and give you that special New Year’s glow)
- 1 tsp honey (or other sweetener)
- Approx: 5 ice cubes
Blend, enjoy and glow the night away!
Perhaps, one of my favorite, go to smoothies is my Chocolate Monkey Smoothie which is loaded with protein, fiber and tastes great, to boot. It will leave you feeling full longer and help curb pesky cravings! Good for every morning – before or after a workout – or to kickstart your day!
Jamie’s Chocolate Mocha Monkey Smoothie (full of fiber, protein & flavor!)
- One scoop of Puritan’s Pride All Natural Vegan Protein Chocolate with Quinoa and Oats
- One cup coconut milk (or almond milk)
- 1 tsp raw kale powder
- One banana
- One tbsp almond butter
- 1/2 cup cold brew coffee
- Approx 5 ice cubes
