Today’s workout theme: BRING IT Thursday!
I was feeling really run down this morning when my alarm went off at 6. I had a long Wednesday – starting with bootcamp, a full workday, a styling session at Lorna Jane (woot woot!), followed by teaching a yoga class and then attempting to be part of the World Series celebrations happening all over the city (I might have had a BIG glass of wine). I’m exhausted just thinking about it!
But once I dragged my butt out of bed, chugged a little water and made my way to the gym, I started to feel inspired. Wearing one of my new Lorna Jane outfits (more teasing, still not showing y’all what I got!) was a definite mood boost – gotta look cute to sweat!
I decided to take the advice on one of my favorite LJ sports bras and totally bring it. And with the help of my amazing workout partner Carrie, we did just that.
And the result, I did 3 sets of chest press with 20 pounds. Before I’ve only ever managed 2 sets at 10 and 6 reps, respectively and then had to go down to 15’s. This morning – 3 sets – 10, 8, 7 – BOOM.

- Warm-up intervals – 4 miles (1 minute sprints, 30 sec jog) – 30 minutes
- Chest press (3 sets, 10, 8, 7 reps – 20 lbs)
- TRX push-ups (20)
- TRX planks with pikes (20)
- Swoosh jumps (20)
- TRX push-ups (20)
- TRX planks with pikes (20)
- Lunge jumps (20)
- TRX push-ups (20)
- TRX planks with pikes (20)
- Jump squats (30)
- Ropes (30 seconds)
- Abs holding stability ball (30 seconds)
- Ropes (30 seconds)
- Leg drops & swimmer kicks (1:00 minute)
- Ropes (30 seconds)
- Push-ups (20)
- Bicep curls with one legged squats (10 on each leg – 20 total, 15 lbs)
- Star abs (20)
- Bicep curls with one legged squats (8 on each leg – 16 total, 15 lbs)
- Push-ups (20)
- STRETCH.
It’s already been broughten. #SweatPink b*tches. 😉
