This morning’s bootcamp was ultra sweaty, we started with our usual weighted stair climb and immediately followed up with hill sprint repeats, lunges and jumps up the hill (lateral, forward, one legged, we did it all). We paused our sprinting, running and jumping for a push-ups with rows burnout session and then got back on the stairs…with weights. If you ever have the opportunity to hop up a bunch of stairs with weights in your hand, I say do it, just be careful not to miss a step.
As we approached our near final ladder exercise – tricep dips and box jumps – I realized the day was also calling for a set of weighted burpees. And even though I felt winded and tired and could tell my bootcampers were feeling the same, I powered us all through the set… using the thought of my cold brew smoothie that would be waiting for me at home as the ultimate motivation.
After a solid morning workout and breakfast of champions – stairs, hills and cold brew smoothies – I am more than ready for this day. Bring it Wednesday.
If you want to get in on this cold brew goodness, here’s what I was drinking this morning:
- 1/2 cup cold brew coffee (I used Equator beans – delicious!)
- 1/2 cup almond milk (one of these days I will make my own)
- 1 banana
- about 5 ice cubes
- One scoop Vega One Vanilla protein powder
Blend and enjoy!
Happy freaking Wednesday. #SweatPink b*tches.
Stay Sweaty friends,
XOXO,
Jamie
