I took a bit of a rest day yesterday as I was feeling sore, tight and dehydrated – broke my holiday sweat streak – but I think it was necessary. I actually decided not to get up with my alarm for once and let myself just recover. I did that even knowing full well there would be no evening workout as Casey and I were going to the Warriors game (for free -thanks to my very beautiful Warriors dancer friend). We not only got to see a nail biter of a game (Warriors WON – woop woop) but we saw my friend dance and our wedding DJ was there doing a bunch of announcements and promotional stuff with the crowd. Crazy. And of course we ate a dinner of champs, ha, stadium nachos and beers. Perfect if you ask me. Fat, carbs and more fat and carbs. Delicious fake cheese….
And when I woke up this morning it was raining, no pouring…but Carrie and Jamie weren’t snoring…. 😉
OK, I totally stole that line from my workout buddy Carrie but it was so good, I just couldn’t resist! Wednesday mornings are typically spent kicking butts (and getting our butts kicked) at bootcamp but it was raining (like really hard) so Carrie and I opted for a gym date instead. After taking a much needed rest day yesterday, it felt good to get the old (and sore!) legs moving again.
We started our workout on the treadmill with 4.1 miles (30 minutes) worth of sprint intervals. Take that FAKE CHEESE! And it was super duper sweaty and good. After our treadmill torture, we hit the core and push-ups. A snapshot of our workout:
- Decline bench abs (20)
- Push-ups (30)

Tonight is glider yoga, one more hour of sweaty fun!
