Come on all you crazy mountain runner folk.
It’s time to grab your muddy kicks, stuff your face with rice balls and peanut butter toast, Honeystinger and GU, and get your drank on with some SOS Rehydrate. Make sure to don your long socks or maybe even your long beards, trucker hats, and best wicking attire…. because its time to get WILD(wood) with the Flex & Flow run club this Saturday, January 30th as we embark on the inaugural annual Flex & Flow Run Club Let’s Get Wild(wood) Run.
A few of us crazy runners will be running the whole damn thing. Yep. We’ll be getting wild for 30ish miles and then finding our way to a bakery to eat bread. Lots of bread. And even more bread. #breadcleanse SATURDAY!!!!
Whether you’re feeling 30 miles wild or maybe just 5, come on and join us! You can find full details on the Flex & Flow blog here.
While we encourage and invite all levels of runners and paces to join us, don’t expect us to sprint 5 miles with you or gingerly walk beside you for 3 as you nurse your hangover. Or maybe you want to WIN the whole damn thing. Well then, run fast my friend. You do you and we’ll definitely be there to applaud you and salute you with bread.
Just know that there are no winners, losers, race bling, medals, or even t-shirts. Just smiles, fun and some mud sloppin’ fun! This ain’t a race. There are no runner corrals or age group awards. If you get lost, you best have yo’ cell phone (or a trail map) handy.
We’ll have some Wild Friends Nut Butters for the eatin’ and ShowerPill Wipes for a pre bakery cleaning. If we know you’re coming in advance, we’ll even try and have some extra water for you at our very fancy water stop (aka my husband…aka mid way through the course…aka tap water from our sink).
No precious unicorns or whiners please.
Well-behaved, dog friendly four legged friends are allowed as well…just make sure they can run next to you on a leash. Park rules and all.
See you in the green all you filthy runners!
Stay sweaty friends. And never stop flexin’, flowin’ and sweatin’ pink.
XOXO
Jamie
