After totally bringing it to my morning workout, it seemed like the rest of my day was ready to follow suit. I was on fire at work, getting things done, making shit happen. I had such a good feeling all day (with the exception of my aching arms!) as a result of my kick ass morning.
Somewhere in the middle of my super productive afternoon, I got a text from Jenny about potentially getting together for an evening sweat session. My arms were totally toast after my morning workout but I wanted to see Jenny and I was ready for a break from my computer screen. We agreed on yoga – I felt like it would help relieve some of my tension – and maybe even ease some of my sore muscles. And I’m so glad I went. Even though class was tough, I feel like it made me feel more balanced and helped my body recover from the week of tough workouts and runs.
After yoga, all steamy and sweaty, we decided to grab a bite to eat. We wanted to go somewhere casual given our sweaty state but also somewhere tasty and healthy. We decided on SaiWalks, a new-ish street food style Vietnamese restaurant in my neighborhood in San Francisco. We both ordered the vegetarian pho and ginger honey iced tea.
The pho is so fresh and so good. They make their broth out of apples, carrots and cabbage and fill the bowl with a good portion of veggies, tofu and vermicelli noodles. A very satisfying, very delicious meal. And the ginger honey iced tea…OMG so good. The perfect spot post yoga, will definitely be back!
All in all a #SweatPink-tastic night.
Stay Sweaty friends,
XOXO,
Jamie
