Well, it’s official…vacation is over. No more sleeping in, no more lounging around in PJS or going on day time adventures (or enjoying some day time wine). It’s officially time to get to business.
My week started with a not so subtle reminder – I a now teaching a 6 am Glider Yoga class at OmPower on Mondays so I was up and at em by 5:15 Monday morning. I did an hour of Glider Yoga and then stuck around for the 7am Power Yoga class which felt amazing. With two hours of yoga under my belt, I was ready to ROCK my busy Monday.
Today was no different. The alarm went off at 5:40 and I was out the door in time for my 6am gym workout. Here’s what we did this morning (and the reason I’ll probably be walking funny later):
- Eliptical intervals – 30 minutes (3.5 miles)
- Speed squats over weight (25), squats holding 30 lb weight low (20), squats holding 30 lb weight at chest height (20)
- Push-ups (30)
- Speed squats over weight (20), squats holding 30 lb weight low (15), squats holding 30 lb weight at chest height (15)
- Push-ups (25)
- Speed squats over weight (15), squats holding 30 lb weight low (10), squats holding 30 lb weight at chest height (10)
- Push-ups (20)
- Side squat jumps over Bosu (30)
- Push-ups (25)
- Reverse and forward lunges on Bosu with reverse lunge holds (20)
- In & out abs with leg drop holds (10)
- Bosu lifts with squats (15)
- Leg lift abs with clap (20)
- Side squat jumps over Bosu (30)
- Eagle legs sit-ups (20)
- Bridges on Bosu with dips (1:00)
- Leg lifts abs with clap (20)
- Bosu lifts (15)
- Calf raises (60)
After my workout, I allowed myself a few moments to read and drink my breakfast smoothie at the table. I’m really enjoying this new book, She’s Losing It by our very own Sweat Pink sis, Lisa Traugott. It’s inspirational, funny, and such a great read.
