Happpy, happy Friday y’all! I still can’t believe we’re more than a week into the New Year, seriously where does the time go?
For all you San Francisco fitness peeps looking for great ways to stay in shape in 2015 and have a little fun with your favorite sweaty friends, here are some of my favorite events happening this month (from parties to fundraisers) that you need to join:
- SWEAT REPUBLIC’S One Year Anniversary Party TONIGHT (1/9 from 6-9:30pm): Join Sweat Republic for their 1 year anniversary party and get your sweat and your party on with a fun (and FREE) bootcamp class starting at 6pm (I’ll be there demo-ing some #gliyo) and at 7 some pole dancing action plus a bunch of new class demos, music, and FUN! Hope to see y’all there.
- Fitmob TRX Event on Tuesday, Jan 13 at 6pm: Fitmob is hosting a special class at the TRX Training Center with Miguel Vargas (one of my very favorite TRX trainers!!). Since you soaked up the holidays, it’s time to sweat it all out with a special TRX workout designed to get your heart pumping and calories burning. Miguel Vargas will lead the 60 minute workout! Plus, there will be post workout goodies and refreshments. Rumor has it, everyone will be getting their clean on post class with ShowerPill Athletic Body Wipes (a must have for every fitness enthusiast!).
- URBANPLAY’S PLAY. SWEAT.OM, Saturday, January 24th (10am-1pm): Urbanplay is partnering with OMpower to host their first fundraiser of 2015, “PLAY. SWEAT. OM.” on Saturday, January 24th at OMpower in San Francisco. 100% of the proceeds will go to fund UrbanPlay programs at schools in the bay area for the 2015-2016 school year. We are expecting as many as 75 people to participate in our event as they play, sweat and om through a 2-hour workout with kickboxing, games, cycling, and yoga. I hear participants of this event will walk out with some AMAZING goodies from brands like ShowerPill, Mamma Chia and Zico Coconut Water! WOOT.
- And finally, to wrap up an AWESOME January, we’ve got the SWEATCHALLENGE on January 31st to benefit Girls on the Run. It’s one day, 2 classes at two top studios (OmPowerSF & Sweat Republic). The Sweat Challenge will help you challenge your endurance and take your workout to the next level. It’s a one-day back-to-back sweat session that will help participants push themselves out of their comfort zone, test their limits, meet other fitness enthusiasts and most importantly have fun while supporting Girls on the Run! Each participants will select their combo of double-header classes ranging from yoga to Surfset at a variety of top studios in the Marina and SOMA. First class is at 12:30 and second is at 2 with a refuel break in between classes. The after party is at Athleta on Fillmore.
